I actually thought that you bought a cheap psu and it burned down your house. I was thinking, yea thats what you get for having a cheap psu.

I have Dell dimension 4550 which uses 250 watt psu and it blew up a week ago. I am trying to find a power supply that can be fit into the case. I am having hard time finding a cheap psu that has no on/off switch in the back. Does this power supply have a on/off switch in the back.
Would i be able to move all the stuff, mother board etc from dell dimension 4550 to a new case? Would i need to do any soldering and stuff?Originally posted by: 13Gigatons

Yes it does have a switch.
Why not buy a new case and then you can use a standard PSU.
