My Power switch Messed up! Please Help

When i was testing my computer i use a screw driver to touch the 2 pin ( Power switch ) on my Motherboard to start up my computer. Somehow i accidentally touched it with a Speaker pin which results in a fire spark. Ever since then the power switch bin does not work anymore and i have to rely on switch the PSU on and off to turn on / off my cmoputer.

However after 2 weeks this method suddenly does not work anymore. And no i could no longer turn on my computer.

Can any body share some idea how may i fix this problem?

Apart from changing Mb of coz.

I get a guy telling me to put a wire through the Power ON pin to ground in the PSU plug to the MB.

This will mean i can turn on the PSU.

And to further develop this idea can i put my Power Switch wire to the PSU unit?

You can start up the PSU by connecting the ATX cable's green wire to a black ground wire. I guess you'd have to splice a couple wires to those and have a button of some sort on the other end.

Thanks... that is why i thought as well. I was thinking using the Case power switch and connect it directly to the PSU plug.......... But i have always thought it will need a relay or some sort .............

Otherwise will i get a electrical shock?
