Hi all. Well, I've got a 3 year old laptop - a Compaq presario 2100, with an AMD 2200xp mobile, 256mb of PC2100 ram, a 40 gb hdd (4200rpm), and the worst of the worst - an ATI mobile graphics adapter (with shared memory).
Well, this thing was never good - In fact, I've always had buyers remorse regarding it, but it did get me by in school for a little. However, now, I cannot use it on a mobile basis - the battery lasts for 15 minutes. Additionally, the unit is so slow, that to use what I want to use on it (computer based DJ software), I need a new HDD, More Ram, and of course, a new battery.
My question to you guys is this: What would you do in my shoes? Shell out the 350' ish for a new HDD, 512MB of ram, and a new Battery, or just cut my losses, and buy a new one?
Cheers
