I've posted on this before, so this is just an update with additional pictures. Check out my case mods site to see pics and descriptions of my red and yellow case project. After installing a window with dual 92mm fans, my case is quieter and 5+ degrees C cooler. Pictures and significant details on my web site. This is still a work in progress, so check back every few days to see if I have time to make progress and updates.

Looks great man. One question though, why not move the seam for the window moulding to a flat area instead of a corner?

Very nice! I love a nice mirror black finish. My dad would probably drool over that. All his cars/motorcycles are black with a nice reflective surface.

The side panel looks good, but how'd you get the same finish on let's say the front plastic panel? Or was your front panel metal as well?

Because that curve is too tight to fit molding in it. I tried to make the molding join at the curve as a way around the tight fit, but in my haste to get it done, I screwed up and cut wrong, thus ending with the horrid gap you see. I'll fix it when I get some time - either by patching more molding in there or cutting the panel out all the way around and putting a large sheet of plexi in.

And for ScoRp!oN, getting that finish on the front isn't something I'm concerned with. I'll be using green/purple dupli-color Mirage paint for the front. Also, I still have to window and paint the top. All of this is covered in the long description of what I've done on my page, but I imagine most people didn't read that much and just looked at the pictures.

Sorry. I did read a lot of it, but I guessed I missed that part. It was a lot of reading...

My fault.

Looks very nice.
What did you do to paint the interior and still get a shine? Just use high-gloss paint? Cause sanding and polishing all that intricate stuff would take a really long time.

Not sure how I lucked in to that shine. Might just be the paint. I did nothing for the frame except prime it three times very lightly (and I do mean very lightly - I still have a number of spots obviously too light to paint over after 2 primer coats) and then spray on the color.

Looking really good!

I can't even decide on whether I'll paint the outside a different color, and now you've got me thinking about what color to paint the inside.
Damn you! ;-)

Rustoleam Sunburst Yellow (I think 4733, but I can't recall, and don't have a can handy to check) for the frame. The body is duplicolor Garnet Red 380. I can't recall the blue I used for the fan grills, but it is duplicolor truck paint (larger can). I think it is just called medium blue.
