Russ. Please do not act like you own the DC Forum and are better than other members. Alot of the people that have left or were banned today have been on this team longer than you and most of your cube was recruited by a man that is no longer on these forums.

I just took a look on the TA-Forum Issues board

What do I read from Russ?

Look at the threads that are locked. They are nothing more then childish baiting of the moderators. I'm surpised every one of them hasn't been banned

I can not say how many people at TA share Russ's viewpoint, but I will say that such a response carefully avoids discussing the core reason so many TA'ers are frustrated.

As most of my close friends know I am one of the biggest contributors to ECCp and I don't mean in terms of DP output, but as of right now I am so disappointed with forum Mods I am tempted to just give up on DC. However I really see no sense in abandoning DC because of some really pathetic Mods.

Not sure of what's going to come of TA, but I do know that it will never be the same again.

For some that may not know allow me to attempt to explain the frustration felt by some of the people that had threads locked. In the past Anand did provide a DC link on the front page, however after the site redesign the links were removed and we were told that the links would soon return. The links were removed months ago and all attempts to ask Anand why the links were not returned has resulted in zero communications with the man. The locked threads yesterday in combination with the flurry of pop-up ads and broken promises has pushed the frustration level beyond what can be accepted for some people.

What I meant by that is: a simple "I apologize for the 'mouthing off' comment, it was unprofessional and disrespectful" at that time would have likely been the end of it. That would have brought comments at least by myself lauding the "wisdom of the mods".

That was before all the name calling and thread locking. The immaturity seems to have subsided pretty much, and now reason and respect are once again returning. You are right however that the damage has been done in that direction, if anyone wants to take the immature name calling

From the brief history I have had here in the DC forum whenever mods go lock happy they get chastised. When left alone we have always taken care of ourselves.

Where exactly have I done that? Apparently you believe that because my opinion is different then yours, and since I have pointed out the childish nature of what has ocurred, that this translates to me believing that I am better then someone else? I am no better, or no worse then anybody else. I am equal. As such, I am just as entitled to my opinion as you, even when you don't like it.

Anand's seeming lack of support for the DC projects is a seperate issue, but you may very well be right that it is a contributing factor to the nature of the responses we have seen here.

Accept them or perform some quick damage control and spin doctoring and foolishly hope the core issues simply vanish.

If I had any control over "spin doctoring" or "damage control" I would be happy to do that. Since I don't, your comment is misdirected. I don't control anything beyond the keyboard from which I'm typing.

Am I disappointed that we don't seem to get any coverage? Of course. It is frustrating to know that a huge recruiting resource is untapped. But, I'm not going to allow that disappointment to irritate me to the degree that it seems to have others.
