He thinks that instead of showering, he can use Axe. And when he does shower, he doesn't wear sandals.

He has no common courtesy. He expects me to turn off my monitor when he wants to go to bed at 11:00pm because the small amount of light that emits (my monitor is facing opposite him) bothers him.

Yet, some days he's up until 2am watching anime. When I go to sleep, he doesn't turn down his sound, turn off the light, shut off his computer. Sure, none of those things really bother me that much, but it's kind of like, if you expect it from someone else, you should probably be doing the same.

He'll come into the room while I'm in here, the door is open when he comes in, yet when he leaves, he closes it. I've told him countless times to leave the door open to get some airflow going and he still doesn't do it.

He audibly farts and belches constantly.

Come on, man. What guy doesnt?

The rest would be annoying though.

Hey at least your guy uses Axe. My roommate has no concept of deodorant or any of that. He just goes into his clothes he wore 3 days ago (some rotation scheme he has with his shirts) and does laundry about once every 3 weeks (and it's not like he has that many clothes).

He leaves the light on in the family room where his desk is and expects me to turn it off becasue I sleep at 2am while he sleeps at 12. I try to turn off a few things when he goes into bed. I close the curtains so I dont need to make noise later, close the window down to a small crack (just for ventilation) otherwise it's pretty loud in downtown berkeley even at night. I turn my fans of my comp down, and I'll turn off as many lights as possible in the room for courtesy. If I'm screwing around like watching OC or 24 or whatever, I'll put on headphones.

I tell my roommate to close the closet door and he makes a fuss out of it. We have our windows open cuz we're the 5th floor and it's seriously hot here (top floor). Even with teh windows open, we get poor circulation and we face west, so we get afternoon sun which makes things even worse. Since windows are open, dust is like crazy problem. Yea tell that to my fan filter for my comp. Even my keyboard has a layer of dust after 1 month. So he makes a fuss that he doesn't want to close the closet door cuz its too much work.. Bleh. Lame.


Is this guy EECS? No. He's engineering physics. I'm Materials Science Engineering. I guess I'm an engineer with a half sense of dignity and with somewhat of a life? Har but I'm on ATOT.. hehe.

It's interesting. 2/4 of us don't wear shower sandals. I don't. I know I did last year because int eh dorms ppl seriously do whack off in the shower, but I just assume that since I'm living with nerds @ an apartment, they won't make too much of a mess, and they're all generally clean (tidy) Hell if I do my own business in the shower I clean up at least (pretty damn well too), so I just pray that I'm not stepping on jizz. I actually get annoyed when the ppl wear shower slippers here cuz our tub is white, and they leave black/brown dirt spots in our tub.. It's quite disgusting for me to step in without shower slippers.

Oh yea and we're Asian, so we go with the no shoes in the house, so for me its a little hard to use shower slippers....

You're lucky. My housemate back at uni would have one or two showers per semester. I could open the front door of the house and be able to tell if he was home or not by the smell.

We spoke to him but he got all upset when we mentionned it. He didn't wash his clothes either, and would wait until his mum came at the end of each term. Interesting times.

Athlete's foot huh.. never thought about that one. Ok I always thought the reason behind it was jizz and what not, but with 4 ppl total I guess it's not too horrible. It's a major issue when your floor has 20+ people... .ewww.
