My roommate just flipped out

Fucking psychotic bitch. There's a long story, but I don't know if I have time, the internet just started working and I have no idea how long it will work for (the router/modem are in her room)

Basically she blew up because I didn't want to pay more than my fair 1/3 of the electric bill, and I pointed out all the stuff she leaves running 24/7, including her own comp and space heater. She slammed the door in my face, only to come kicking it back open five minutes later. She then proceeded to shove me, hard enough that I fell over my computer and hdtv. If I hadn't twisted my body to land on the dishes from last night next to my bed, I wouldn't have a monitor anymore.

So now my hand is all bloody, due to some unknown dish breaking when I landed on it, and she just stands in the doorway, demanding me to get out. Every time I tried to close the door, it would come flying back in my face. I'm pretty sure she was kicking it.

That was about ten minutes ago. I now have in my hand half the rent from this month and the security deposit. I'm not sure where I'm going to go, or when I'll be able to post again, but I really, really don't want to be around this girl who is in some kind of psychosis suddenly.

Update:

Wow this thread has gone insane.

I'm at my parent's house now. I got checks for half a month's rent and my security deposit. I took everything of mine out of the house, did all my dirty dishes, and left my keys on the table. I picked up a paper and there are several good deals on single and double apartments, so I'm going to be checking those out.

I decided not to call the cops because I've been friends with her for six years, ever since high school. I really don't want to mess her life up more than she already has. I think her boyfriend will keep her in line as far as dealing after the baby comes, since he is the one who persuaded her to stop smoking. It's not that I'm too pansy or whatever, I've sent my friends to jail before, but that was because he was belligerently drunk and chose to drive. He spent the night in detox and got a DWI. That was worth calling the cops. My formerly good friend shoving me over in a fit of pregnant rage isn't worth calling.

As far as she is concerned, I don't ever really want to talk to her again, but I'll need to when the electric for this month comes, and I have the box for her router.

Update #2:

I just got this message from my other roommate (the not insane one) who moved in in August of this year (the girl and I have been living there for a year, and the roomie we had then is gone now)

hey man
i heard all that shit go down today and when i got home your gone. I just wanted to tell you i thought it was all bogus. She really flipped over a small issue and you were surprisingly calm. I really liked living with you for the short time we did and we definitely need to hang out still, discin' and bowlin'. Let me know where your living and your number and such. Sucks it had to end like this. Take it easy.

So that's good. I only lost one friend in the incident.

So it's a two-person apartment and you only want to pay 1/3 of the electric bill?

Make sure you don't touch her at all. Things can turn ugly very quickly, and if a domestic violence complaint gets phoned in, your ass could wind up in jail.

There was a thread similar to this about a month ago. Only thing I can suggest is next time make sure everyone is on the exact same page as far as divvying up utility bills goes.

Sorry about your hand.

What right does your roommate have to kick you out? What are you not telling us? For example, post some picture of your room and apartment.

If you don't like her much, I'd call the police and have her arrested. You got the blood for proof.

Yeah I wouldn't. It's a three person apt., and the other roomie was sleeping (I'm guessing) until roomie #1 slammed my door hard enough to get it decently stuck in the frame.

Call cops. Send her to jail and have the apartment to yourself!

Record audio/video of her going nuts if you can.

Call the cops and she will go to jail. Then you can pack in peace and she will be looking at domestic violence charges.

Why the hell does she want you to pay more than 1/3 of the bill in a 3 person apartment?

Like others said, call the police. At the very least, it protects you.

I was on the lease here all last year, and now it's a month-to-month thing I was doing until she found someone else to move into the room I'm in. She is in the room I was in last year, and I am in the shitty tiny room, and I have nearly nothing in here, as there is simply no room for anything. Pics of my room on the way, and I think I have a pic of her and her dog somewhere.

BTW, she's 20, pregnant (not by me, before you ask) and keeping it, and she used to be a heavy drinker / pothead / smoker / coffee addict, which she does none of now due to the pregnancy.

Sucks. From what it sounds like she uses a lot of electricity, the bill has gone up, and you dont want to pay more just because she decides to leave her shit on.

Good luck. Find some place to go.

eh
you don't want to live with a pregnant woman anyway, unless she's related or is having your child.
you especially don't want to live with a pregnant woman who is no longer receiving who alchy, pot, cig and coffee goodness.
at least she has a decent enough head on them shoulders to quit all those things while pregnant.
