so far, I don't think she's an idiot, but she is still someone you wouldn't wanna live with. missing her favorite habits AND being pregnant will equal one helluva stressed/angry woman a lot of the time. lol

Dude, get the hell out of that apartment now.

How much rent are you paying?

Grand total it's about $1000 for the house, with electricity being $60-$80 a month

So you're paying $360 a month to live in a walk-in closet?

"Psychosis" explained. She is on the biggest hormonal rollercoaster ride of her life.

Especially if she's going to be a single mom.

So what exactly is the "fair 1/3" you're referring to in the OP? An actual third of the electric bill? Or something lower due to roommate's appliance usage habits?

A space heater? Those things suck down power like there's no end to it. At full power, they'll draw 1500 watts. How many hours per month is it on? Multiply that by 1.5, and you've got the monthly kWH for just that heater - compare that to the total electric bill.

This is part of why 1) I wanted to get off campus, farther away from the crowd, on my own, and 2) I didn't want a roommate. I can't stand people who are like that, who won't listen to a civil and rational argument, assuming you made one.

BTW, she's 20, pregnant (not by me, before you ask) and keeping it, and she used to be a heavy drinker / pothead / smoker / coffee addict, which she does none of now due to the pregnancy.
Well at least she has a few ounces of sense and responsibility.

It's a full 1/3 of the bill, and she tried to tell me that I should be paying more since I'm using more, which I pointed out to her isn't true, so then she flipped out.

The dreaded white girl dreads.

totally called it earlier.
before she went preggers, was she a down-to-earth person and cool to talk with?
it's fun to stereotype, because typically the white girls that sport dreads are real down to earth, for they have bonded with earth through that lovely green plant. lol

I'd move out within a week for all the reasons others have posted here.

Also, your room is a dump as well as a closet.

Yeah. I dunno what her problem is now. It's like she's suddenly a different person.

yea i'm pretty sure, confining myself to that room, I'd kill someone, after killing off one of my many psychosis-induced imaginary friends in my head, Identity-style.
but seriously, get a tv stand next time. a cheap one can be had at a walmart or taget. i'd be too scared to let any LCD sit on a PC case like that, especially a Sony set.

I'm packing everything up into the plastic bags and laundry baskets I had available.
