My search for a fuel efficient, old 4 door import has ended.

I went looking for a late 90's or early 2000 Sentra, Corolla, Camry, Altima, Prizm etc.. I found those cars are getting expensive, my budget was up to $5500, I was hoping to find one for $3500ish.

I looked for 4-6 weeks and all I could find was junk, on one occasion I drove as far as 200 miles and I came back disappointed so I had to change my plans and this is what I purchased.

$6500 is what I paid, the nice thing is that it has a few upgrades that I would have wanted to do but wouldn't.

MagnaFlow dual exhaust, Superchip programmer, Airaid cold air intake, Tonneau cover, 20" wheels, new tires etc..

Actually I ended up buying an ATV from the same guy, I don't trust myself to put my street bike in the back of that truck.

I looked at a 99-00 Altima, it had a couple of dents (small), check engine light was on and no antifreeze in the reservoir + the water temp gauge was going crazy and they were asking $5k, I was going to offer $3500 but it was gone the next day....

I wanted a Dakota 4x4 (upto 04) but because of the price of gas, ended up with a Civic instead.

I also went to look at a 97 Camry with 140k miles for $4k, in the pics it looked good I asked the guy about any possible body damage etc... everything sounded good after I drove 70 miles I see dents on both sides the front air damn was completely ripped off, the rear bumper was sticking out like a para-sail. I was rather pissed.

Only if you drive around in that Prius with a "Earth first" sticker while jack rabbit starting at every light and trying to "beat" people, esp. evil gas guzzling trucks, on the highway going 95 mph because you're better than them, and thus getting 20 mpg in your Prius while you think you are getting 60. And being too stupid to notice.
