You're a jerk by adding your religious commentary into a thread that is about the OP looking for support, whether you construe that as emotional or spiritual.

Also, unless the doctors have advised it, sitting down and trying to force her to recall her life is a pretty bad idea. She'll feel pressured and cornered and helpless rather than loved and supported, not the impression you want to give her of these people she's been told are her family.

this.

prayers heal no one..don't be an idiot. his advice is better than yours.

welcome to the douche club

What, u mad that prayers are useless?

No he's mad that he decided to bring it up at all. I'm a strong Atheist and I didn't say anything in my post above except wishing well of his sister and hoping she gets better soon. Of course prayer does nothing, but bringing it up in a post about someones injured loved one is most certainly being a douche. Just wish her to get well without mentioning you pray for her and be on your way like I did or just don't post at all.

BTW I meant it OP hope she gets better soon!!

I feel so bad for her husband. If my Fiance' forgot me and who she was I would be at a loss of words and thought. My live would be ruined.

11/18 UPDATE: She has had several doctor visits and we really don't know anything. Two CTs and a MRI came back negative which is great news however doesn't explain the amnesia. Memory loss isn't getting better. Waiting on referral to neurologist.

How is everyone making out with it? I'm sorry it hasn't gotten any better.

11/18 UPDATE 2: Her employer (a big box store) denied coverage for her to see a neurologist.

Since it is workman's comp, they have to approve everything.

Appeal it, get her physician to advocate he believes its medically indicated and consistent with the standard of care for her injury and condition. That's what physicians are supposed to do, be the advocate for their patients (not for insurance companies).

Why would the employer have a direct say in this, out of curiosity? Are they self-insured? Otherwise, wouldn't it be entirely up to the insurance company? This is something that strikes me as being "medically necessary"... I wonder if you guys can appeal the decision in some fashion.

Not only that, if she fell at work there could be litigation over this. It would be in the best interest of the employer/ins.co. to cover neurologist visits.
Something isn't adding up...

Cartoons have shown that a 2nd blow to the head will cure amnesia. Something to try.

I don't know Texas work comp law, but IMO, it's past time to lawyer up.

Looking on the web, it appears that Texas doesn't even require work comp insurance...

Here's more info that may help:

Ah well hell...that would have been good info right from the start...

I was going by the info in your profile. (ass-u-me)

It LOOKS like Arkansas is better for employees than Texas. At the minimum, work comp is required of all employers.
Here's the main website:
http://www.awcc.state.ar.us/index.html

Their website sucks for getting better information however. I stick by my original post...It's past time to lawyer up.

Time to get a lawyer involved. Your sister's health is more important than some store covering their ass.
