Can't someone be proud of their son?

anyone would love to have a son like his. i smell envy?

and ya, awesome stuff sooner. help him keep it up, and hopefully he doesn't falter and/or fall into bad groups in HS.

Thanks DanTMWTMP. So far he has shown excellent judgement. Much better than I did at his age.

I think I had 1110 on the SATs in 7th grade, not sure what that would be for ACT. SATs are so easy I'm surprised anyone gets below 1200 as a junior/senior in highschool, my vocabulary was pretty sad in middle school too

When i took the Duke Talent ID program back in the 7th grade, i got a 1200 on the SAT's... Sad thing is, when i took the PSAT in high school, i got a 1140

My SAT went up significantly, but always found that to be fairly funny

I remember Duke's TIP program - got a 25 on my ACT.. but didn't do that TIP deal. Took the ACT 5 more times through high school to get the fullpaid scholarship which required a 33 overall. oh well, it was only $35 / exam so almost like a wise investment.

I got a 1290 on the SAT in 7th grade, and a 1570 when it counted. Standardized tests are ridiculously easy. I just which I had done as well on my other tests (93.1 Avg HS, 3.78 GPA College).

PS - I'm just being a pround human being. If a father/mother can be proud of his son/daughter, can't a college student be proud of him/herself?
PPS - I'm sorry that I put male/female in all the gender/gender slashes. I reproduced it below in the PPPS.

I actually think its better for people to take the ACT as early as possible. Most college prep course paths will have you taking most of the courses you need to do well on the ACT by 10th grade. I can't remember exactly when I took the test, but I think it was sometime around the spring semester of 10th grade. I know I was WAY earlier than all my classmates.

The worst part for me was fatigue - it's a long test at that age. I'm pretty good at science, but I always felt my scores suffered because it was the last section of the test and I was beat. Of course, the last standardized test I took was 8 hours, so the ACT is a piece of cake compared to that.

I took the ACT a bunch in high school - probably at least 5 times. I was very consistant, every score was the same until the last one, where I scored three points higher. I attribute that to being more relaxed - since I was already accepted to college there was no real pressure. The only reason I took the test was because I had registered for it and paid already.
