Once I get the the mcpx down I plan to get a t-rex, I have heard nothing but good things about them.

Also do you think my Spectrum DX6i will be ok with the t-rex? I do plan to upgrade that eventually but the longer I can make the DX6i last the better.

yes and no.. yes it is ample. and a "ok" transmitter but I would wholeheartedly recommend either spending just a little more for the DX7 or buying a used one from either of the 2 major heli boards that I posted.

It is night and day 1500% a better transmitter with room to grow and far better fit feel and electronics and gimbals.

I bought the DX6i new and replaced within 6 months to the DX7 and it was more than fine.

I've now got a used JR X9303 but the DX7 was every bit as good a radio as the JR it's just the JR has more channels and a few higher end features I needed.

Yup, I should have clarified, it's the Eflite blade helis that blow goat. The little mxc etc are cool to tool in the house.
You'll have to pry my 9303 out of my cold dead hands.
CVSiN if you get a chance to fly a big e-heli do it. I use to be all nitro until I flew my buddy's older Logo 14 running a 10S set up. Holy f'in shite dood. Spanks the snot out of any nitro bird. I'll never give up nitro completely, but this thing is sick. Throw any move you have at it and the headspeed does not change at all.
We do "drag" races and climb outs all the time against big nitro birds and those guys are left simply scratching their heads. Try a high power e-heli if you get the change and you will not be able to wipe the stoopid ass grin off your face.

Align's helis are great. They're decent quality, fly nicely and parts are everywhere you can imagine.

Yah Ive seen Tim Jones fly the Castle Creations T700 Custom that's pushing 10-12hp to the rotor..
it's insane.

saw it in person at one of the large Texas fly-ins at Mt. Pleasant.
very very impressive.

I've got my Eye on a Rave ENV 90 set for electric. maybe this year I'll get one and jump back into the hobby full force.
I've let my AMA drop this year so far as I haven't flown anything ;(

was ale to move up to a belt cp was able to hover comfortably. Still have not recovered from a bad crash 2 years ago, repair kit/parts has been waiting for 1 1/2 years. One of these days I am going to fix it and get into the hobby again
