Just about everytime i put my pc on standby, when I try to wake up the pc my computer freezes and i have to restart. My pc also freezes when i play the Fallout:Tactics. It would just freeze and i have to restart pc. Other than those two occasions my pc doesn't freeze. When i restart my pc, my bios setup pops up with the following message:
During the last boot up your system hung for an improper CPU external speed-setting. Your system is now working in safe mode(Bus:100Hz, Dram 100Hz, PCI:33Hz). To optimize the system reliability, make sure the CPU speeds conform to the specification of your CPU.
I have my motherboard in jumper-free settings.
my pc specs are:
Asus A7v
800 thunderbird
30 gig IBM
Hercules gefore2mx
Sound blaster PCI sound card
I don't know what if anything is causing my pc to free for an improper cpu setting.. any idea?
