Yeah man, your system blows. You should dump at least another $4000 into it to make it not suck. -_-

Wahhhh you're 11 points off. SIGH
Nice system though, I personally wouldn't waste that much money on a computer that's already outdated. To each his own, though.

Well, I used my water chiller system (freezer with washer fluid and pump) and got 11, 389 today.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=826087

Settings;
nTune info tab;
Hypertransport Link - 1252.563 MHz
Memory Bus - 501.025 DDR MHz
PCI express bus - 3000.000 MHz
PCI bus - 33.000 MHz
CPU multiplier - 13.0X
CPU speed 3256.664 MHz
HT - 5X

Clockgen;
1.550 V
PCI-E - 119.97 MHz
CPU - same
Multiplier - same
HTT - 250.51 MHz
Memory - 250.51 MHz
PCI - 33.34 MHz

RivaTuner (video);
GPU core - 453 MHz
Memory core - 1312 MHz

RAM;
2.5-3-3-7-2T

Don't get me wrong here guys, I just feel that I didn't get what I paid for on the XFX's. The overclocking on the core GPU isn't the best, and I feel it could have been better for the 1200 + US dollars I spent on them.
I still appreciate my system.

Yeah, I just don't like the extent I had to go to get that Mark though. Call it what you will, I wanted to get over 11,000, but should have been able to without the chiller system.

I guess I can live with being 27th ORB on 3DMark 05.

I got the Ultra's not GT's, and yes I'm one of those complaining about the crap GPU core frequency capabilities. I guess I'll buy 2 more Prometias and mod to cool the GPU's to get the full core MHz. lol

Thanks for the compliment on my system.

Id be happy in the #10000 of 3DMark05 ORB. But not if I spent that much I guess. My whole system was about the price of his video cards.

And stock, too. Didn't have to buy a cooling system to do that. I'd say you got ripped.

Seriously, though, there's a limit to what you can do with the available hardware, and unless you're using a LS, you won't get the scores these cards can really do.

While you are quite obviously looking for 'oooo, aahhhh's. I will help you out instead, because while you have the money you are lacking attention to detail.

I like the rig, I like the choices in hardware. But one thing.. with all that stuff you should really swap out that Asus board for the DFI.
I did, never looked back for a second.

I take it you are running 250FSB.. which means you are more than likely running 2T.. huge performance loss.

If you have an issue with such small performance levels.. that would definitely make more than just a small difference.
Try 245FSB and 1T. Bench again.

You call yourself an enthusiast. Now get an overclocking board worth its salt.

I have a few other suggestions that you might have or have not done to improve your 3dmark.. but I think you need to take that Asus out of that overclocking rig right now.

Mine too. I think they should have a benchmark that measures the price to performance ratio, and gives you a score based on that.

Because I wanted to be able to have two sticks at 1T 550 DDR for some higher benchmarks. All four in dual channel 2T still works great. I had Corsair Twinx c2 PL before this RAM 2 X 512 and it doesn't compare to the G.Skill I have now. This RAM rocks and I have no regrets buying it.

Bull on this remark, I don't need the 'oooo, and aahhhh's, you are sadly mistaken. I dont need to repeat my previous posts, what's up with this crap, I'm in the video section here right? I'm expressing my feelings about my video cards, right? So WTF is the problem, you're probably young enough to be my son, I have 5 kids, stop acting like one. Just because I have a good system doesn't make me a show off!!!

One thing I don't lack is attention to detail, I know computers, I'm no newbie at this.

I was seriously considering this.

I can't run 1T using four DIMMS on this board. I've got good benchmarks from 250, even at 512 MB's 1T it doesn't beat out the four at 1GIG and 2T. The problem mostly hangs on the cards.

You call yourself an enthusiast. Now get an overclocking board worth its salt.
You're right about that one, I will.

I have a few other suggestions that you might have or have not done to improve your 3dmark.. but I think you need to take that Asus out of that overclocking rig right now.
Soon!

Thanks, and please, back off with the I'm bragging crap, I'm to old for this.

Running 2T on an A64 system gives you a significant performance hit. IIRC, running 2T @300mhz is slower than 1T @ 200mhz.
