Damn white people!

If you would have listened to the lyrics, you would have noticed that the word "Bitchz" was not used. The song has nothing degrading twards women (except bad taste) in the lyrics.

I pretty much agree. I cannot STAND MTV now a days. It's all some stupid pop stuff. I also cannot stand mainstream/commercial rap now a days. rap/hiphop are my favorite genre's of music. But I can't lie ... the stuff that's out now a days sucks! I cannot stand the radio, mtv, or anything else that plays music. But let me clear up that it's MOST OF THE COMMERCIAL/MAINSTREAM RAP. I hardly listen to new rap and hiphop.

But I must admit, I still crank my old school stuff. Not even really old school, but I mean my biggie, tupac, older mobb deep and nas. Mainly new york stuff is my forte, w/the exception of tupac. Oh yea ... and of course dre and snoop I still thump to all the time. I actually popped 'The Chronic' on my car 2 weeks ago. That album owns.

All of the rappers coming out with stuff now have gone down hill. There was a time when I liked DMX and Jay Z. But now they are complete crap. To me, I think the problem lies because these artists come out with albums too frequently that they have nothing to rap about. I mean jay z and dmx came out with like an album each year for the past 2 or 3 years. THEY DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO RAP ABOUT!. I am sick of hearing about their bitches, money, and parties. That's all they talk about now a days. But when biggie was out, he had only 2 albums come out while he was alive and was over a pretty big chunk of time period. And look at his first 2 albums. Those are 2 of the best albums I have to this date. Same with Nas. People liked his first album the best by far. Then as he went on, they got worse and worse. But I must admit his last one was hot

What happened to rap man? I miss the good stuff . If only my favorite rapper biggie was still alive . We'll always love Big Poppa!

Nirvana (again, Pearl Jam and everyone else tried copying their formula)

Not to get off topic here, but I found this amusing. If anything Nirvana copied off of Pearl Jam as well as other bands such as Mudhoney. Green River(Pearl Jam before Eddie Vedder) was doing what Nirvana was years earlier.

I think that about sums it up.

Anyone that limits their musical options to stuff they hear on the radio or on MTV deserves what they get. Explore and find new music yourself. Don't depend on the TV to introduce you to new artists that you might like. With so many different styles and possible tastes in music, odds are the TV and radio are going to miss the spot for many people. It's an ad for music, and exists only to make money by exposure. If MTV didn't limit themselves to some type of music (ie. Rap/R&B, pop music) then you'd never see the same song again. There are more bands and songs than they could possibly fit on the air. So, as a pratical business model, they limit their output to stuff that sells, stuff that teenagers and younger are going to buy or have their parents buy. This keeps them in business. As you grow up, you realize this. You realize that it's a marketing tool and there is other stuff out there.

Dude... You gotta be kidding me. I've been listening to Bleach before MTV even knew who Kurt Cobain was. I read most of the books on the subject as well. Its true that Pear Jam was doing their thing before they even saw Nirvana, but when Nirvana became the talk of MTV, Pearl Jam suddenly became a "Grunge" band, before noone could tell what the fusk the were. Eddie Vedder even adminted to following Cobain's roots, and he said many times that "If it wasnt for Kurt we wouldnt be here"... the funny thing is how Kurt hated his band. I have an interview with Cobain where he flat out says that "Eddie is a good guy, but i've always hated his fvcking band". LOL

Also, Nirvana was formed in 87-88 roughly, they had influences sure, Mudhoney, Pixies, Black Flag, Melvins, and other underground bands... but it was still original.
