Jesus whats next? Are people going to start sueing their high school for facilitating the meeting of a "Sexual predator" senior who got it on with a freshman?

I love how they want myspace users to verify who they are with a verified email address or credit card.

How are 14 year olds and up going to get on myspace then?

They should also sue the ISP, the manufacturer of the modem, then go after the manufacturer of the monitor and computer, then the electric company, Al Gore for creating the internet, and the manufacturer of the condom that failed when the guy used it as to not knock up this stupid women and spit out an equally stupid daughter. Might as well throw in a lawsuit against Death Metal for good measure.

Forget sueing myspace, sue the car manufacturer for allowing him to buy a car to pick her up in, facilitating the sexual assault.

We live in an age where we have to monitor our children?s email. Something that was unheard of twenty years ago. I have two sons and recently a pervert tried to IM my 11 year old son. My son was smart enough to tell me when he got IMed by someone he didn?t know. Thank God that they have seen enough on the news programs to know that there are some BAD people out there! I?m glad that someone is finally taking MySpace to court.
Ha ha! love this comment from an idiot parent. Wonder if she's related to the morons that are suing.

>>A 14-year-old Travis County girl who said she was sexually assaulted by a Buda man she met on MySpace.com sued the popular Internet social networking site Monday for $30 million, claiming it fails to protect minors from adult sexual predators.

The lawsuit claims the Web site does not require users to verify their age and calls the security measures aimed at preventing strangers from contacting users younger than 16 "utterly ineffective."

That certainly would have stopped the man.

See, I don't think stupid people should be killed. We need them to take the crappy jobs, and provide some amusement in life.

I just don't think they should be allowed to speak, publish, or file lawsuits.

What does she want Myspace to do? Require a DNA sample for age verification purposes prior to using the site?

No, but you can sue Al Gore.

Then you can sue the tax payers in general as they funded the "initiative" Gore and crew put in place to "fund" the internet.

As I was driving home today, they were talking about this on the local news radio station, and it was sickening how many people agreed with the lawsuit.

People make me sick. Idiots think they are entitled to something, and can't seem to take responsiblity for their own actions.

The parents are just looking for a scapegoat because they don't have the balls to fess up and admit they are to blame for what happened. The daughter is to blame too. Sure she was under the impression that she was meeting someone else, but it doesn't make a difference because she had bad intentions. I'm sure they weren't going to meet up to play patty cake.

I'm going to sue the mom for $100 billion dollars for allowing her daughter to go create a account on myspace.com when the daughter now even the legal age to have account on myspace.com Last time I knew, you had to be 18+ to create an account there.

There is all these 11,12,13,14,15,16 creating account saying they are 18,19,20+.

A 14-year-old Travis County girl who said she was sexually assaulted by a Buda man she met on MySpace.com sued the popular social networking site Monday for $30 million, claiming that it fails to protect minors from adult sexual predators.

...sexuall assaulted by a Buda man...

More people looking for others to parent their child. Maybe the mother should be charged with child endangerment?

Do parents not teach their children common sense anymore? Who in their right mind meets some random person off the internet. It doesn't matter if you think you know them, it doesn't matter if they seem chill, it still a random person, and as such you should take precautions if you insist on meeting them. There are several random people on the internet I feel I know, but does that mean I'd just go off and meet them alone? Hell no.
