Look. Here's the definitive point of view on this if, in fact, this was a video from a publicly funded school.

Clearly, this can't be blamed on Obama. He had nothing to do with the kids being taught this song.

However, kids being taught this song at a public school is beyond unacceptable. Again, if legit, it is unquestionably the scariest shit I've ever seen in regards to politics in America in my lifetime. The only just course of action is for there to be an example made of everybody who had even the most minute role in this. The teacher, the principal, and the superintendent are fired along with anybody else who's name can be linked to approving this. There needs to be a law suit on behalf of the parents of these children against the state so the legislators feel the impact.

I don't see anyone getting "worked up" about this issue -- except perhaps HeroOfPellinor. I do see most people here, from both sides of the aisle even, who simply feel that it's wrong and should be looked into.

There is simply no excuse for enforced political propaganda in public school. Is it the end of the world? Of course not; but, it's still a serious issue that needs to be addressed at this particular school or any other where it occurs.

I also haven't seen anyone here try to tie this to Obama, himself, or his Admin. The blame lies on any of the school faculty who were involved.

Maybe you missed the fact that this event was allegedly acknowledged by the school's Superintendent? I haven't been able to find the letter from a reputable site, so maybe you're right... or not? Who knows...

Even if this was actually part of their Black History Month, I still do not think it's right. The lyrics are too far over the top to be acceptable in a public school. (Please remember that I voted for Obama as well).
