n00b wireless network question

Hi guys!

Problem is that i am a total n00b when it comes to wireless networking , i really don't know much at all , what i want to do is to wirelessly connect my PC with my laptop which has built-in wi-fi and also share the internet connection ,what should i do ? buy some wi-fi card thing for PC or bluetooth connection something ???

most of us have jobs and dont lurk the forums at 5am. not to mention, theres no point in bumping a thread thats already top 5 on the front page...

to do this right, you should get a wireless router. how is your network currently setup? DSL, Cable, just a modem, wired router, etc? where is your PC in relation to your current modem / router? whats your budget?

if distance isnt going to be an issue, i'd recommend a linksys wrt54gl...

Check out CircuitCity. Right now, IMO, the best low cost networking solution is the Buffalo Nfiniti draft-N routers and cards they *might* have. My local stores carried them. My router (WZR2-G300N) was $60 and network card (WLIPCI-G300N) was $30. They weren't on "sale"; but I assume that, because of Buffalo's current legal issues, CC is trying to clear out stock.

The router is quite well reviewed in its group of draft-N competition.
