I bought a PSX/N64 to USB adapter for $14.45 shipped. These usually sell for around $20 shipped elsewhere

I like my XBOX, but I hate the controllers.

does this n64/usb adapter actually work with n64 emulators? i need an actual n64 gamepad instead of what i have but i dont' want to spend the money if this may or may not work

The Soyo Kiky-Joy (PS to USB) rebate at Fry's/Outpost.com is good until Dec. 31st, making them something like $7 before rebate and free afterwards. I think there are problems using it with XP though.

I feel doubtful about Fry's rebates so I would just think $7.
The Soyo replacement that claims to be compatible w/ XP is $13 (no rebate involved).

I recieved a few emails with questions so I'll try to answer most of them

The PSX/N64 adapters will work with most emulators that support direct input ( MAME, Project64, ZSNES, etc )
However, some controllers are not compatible and I have a small list on the product page. I recieve few complaints about this adapter so assume it does the job well.

The adapter at radio shack is similar to the one I also sell. Compatibility with controllers can be an issue with any of these console->pc adapters. So find out if your controller should be compatible.

Kiki-Joy: Stay away from this garbage. The pink ones would not work in XP and soyo never released updated drivers (assuming it was a driver issue). The kikijoy also suffered from latency issues so playing fighting games was not fun.
I do not know if the new model fixes the latency issue but it does work with XP.

As for me, I've gone to greener pastures over to obese money carrying purse.com where I am nearly broke from buying all the great deals
