I believe some of the N8 benchmarks published in the review are incorrect. Specifically, I ran browsermark and sunspider and got 50% better and 10 times better numbers respectively on the two benchmarks than what Mithun published. I think he ran the benchmarks with Opera 10.0 instead of Opera 10.1. The newer Opera (10.1) has a very fast Javascript engine and thus the scores are significantly better. Further, one friend pointed out that the Opera version in Ovi Store is marked as 10.1 while it is actually 10.0 and that may have led Mithun to mistakenly believe he was using latest Opera while he was not.
At least one person has been able to verify my numbers.
Further, I am suspicious of the wifi transfer numbers as in an informal test I am getting substantially better numbers though more testing needs to be done.
I hope Anandtech update their review with the correct numbers as the numbers currently published are not reflecting the proper capability of the N8. I have emailed them.
