FIREFLY, obviously those actresses & actors who blended to make that good chemistry are long gone, so no way to re-bottle their interplay.
Also obviously, some production company someday WILL try.

HBO should pick up the Unit as a miniseries, hehe.

I'm savoring it, partly because I know it's only 20-some episodes long, and partly because I was watching it with some other people I don't see much and I want to have something to watch next time I see them

Read the title, it says "should HAVE BEEN GIVEN a second chance," past tense. As in, they should have given Firefly a second chance, but instead they just canceled it so they made the movie Serenity to deal with all the loose ends.

Not only that, of ALL the genres, Sci Fi fns are more than willing to play rewind and redo things differently.

Sometimes they give excuses like "Time Travel" or "Alternate Reality", and sometimes they just say "F-it I liked the old show, bring it back!".

For this old thread there are many that are bouncing around that I agree with, the biggest being Arrested Development.

But the thing that gets me is that for a clique-y kind of cult interest show, you REALLY need more than a pilot and half a season to get a genuine following.

They are too concerned in making big bucks immediately than getting something that may make them Boku if they they are just a bit more patient.
