Friday the 13th for NES, i never knew what the hell I was doing in that game, then out of no where, jason would appear and beat you down. I still hate that game to this day!

Ah; Mike Tyson's prejudice Punch Out! Tyson was fairly easy. I used to beat that game on a regular basis.

Now Zelda 2 was out of hand! Not even a great game but pretty hard for me.

Wizards and Warriors I could get far in but did'nt beat.

Ninja Gaiden was a bitch in later levels.

Some random Indiana Jones game for Atari was a pain.

Rygar was tough. Made it to the end but forgot to pick up some key item. No go backs. LOL

Mario3 was a pain at the end levels.

Ghosts and Goblins was a pain too. Never did beat G'n G. Firday the 13th was creepy and I did'nt like that game at all.

i think its funny how this thread popped up, because @ 1:11am this morning, i beat mike tysons punch out for the first time in my life, after 4 hours of trying, scored 7230 points, and won by decision. so now my life is complete.

As a general rule expansions have to be insanely tough. I think its because the company doesnt really want to do any more work and they want more money from the original game. So they just throw together a few extra maps (levels, quests) and toss balance out the window. Blizzard is especially rough. The add-ons for all their games are a humbling experience. Some of the levels for Brood War were a kick in my teeth after beating up the original levels.

Princess Tomato... my sister bought it and got stuck, I told her she was dumb and gave it a try. I ran into a dead end everytime.

My personal experience with Blizzard expansions (e.g. SC Brood War, Diablo II LoD, War3: Frozen Throne) have all been quite positive. Granted, they were harder but NOTHING to the extent of Beyond the Dark Portal.

My friend and I devised countless strategies to beating those levels back then, all to no avail.

That damn game made me destroy my nintendo
i got TMNT for xmas in 2nd or 3rd grade, kept getting stuck in the water level.
I'd get uber pissed and take the cartridge out and throw it against the wall.
Eventually i got past the water level, but then the game would ALWAYS hang at the rooftop where you first use the rope.

I was so determined...i did chores and saved enough money to buy ANOTHER copy of the game.
After a few weeks i got to shredder and the mother#$)(*#$ing game locked up right when the shredder battle started.

I got so pissed i ripped the NES from the shelf and chucked that mofo accross the room and down the stairs.

no other games made me that mad
never beat battletoads
never beat blaster master (although i could always get to the lvl8 boss)
never beat rc pro am (could get the 3rd vehicles, but got spanked around level 35)

Yeah. BattleToads was the game that made me destroy one of these beauties. Unfortunately, it also wasn't a stock one, it was custom-modified to work with both a NES and a TG-16. I killed it.

Also never beat freakin Castlevania 1. I can get to dracula and kill his first form, but not the second one! augh. freakin sucks.

PLEASE dear god, somebody tell me they have heard of Fantasy Warriors for original sega!

I still sit up nights wondering what the hell I could possibly do to finish that game. It's a real simple RPG and at the end I just wandered around trying to find the final badguy or whatever dungeon he's in.

The only clue I had was some stupid scroll that said something like, "...you must go south seven days, west two days and north three days..."
I tried every damn square on that map, in every concievable order, and nothing.

PLEASE for the love of all that's good, I must know!!!
