Book: The Satires by Juvenal. A social commentary which still, IMO, has relevance to many issues in the world today. Plus it's just good poetry.
Film: Life of Brian. Actually says a lot about religion and interaction between different groups. Plus it's a damned funny classic.
CD: Paul Simon - Graceland. Good music and has political elements which (hopefully) might give people pause for thought.
Doesn't have to be your favourite, and you are limited to one only. Something that you think has impact, or is really worth it for another reason, like it's an absolute undeniable classic.
