No, the scarlet letter really ISN'T a good book so far as I'm concerned. I know its one that pretty much everyone (me included) had to read in high school, but that don't mean its good imo.

If we're going along those lines, Design Patterns (Gang of Four) is by far the most useful text book from my college courses.
