I would also say Mark Hamill. He's done countless voices for animated shows. He gave the Joker the PERFECT voice. I can't even imagine the Joker sounding different now.
OK, this is getting out of hand. Your saying LUKE friggin SKYWALKER is underrated?!?!?

Steve Buscemi
William H Macy
Tim Robbins
Samuel L Jackson (yeah I know, but he is STILL underrated)
Peter Stormare
Philip Seymour Hoffman (seems to be getting some respect now with his new movie)
Actresses also?
Samuel L. Jackson is actually OVERRATED in a way. Because he's absolutely perfect for most films (like Pulp Fiction), its assumed he'll be good at roles in films like Star Wars, which IMO turned out to be ridiculously untrue. I love Samuel L. Jackson, but he sucked bad as a Jedi master. The whole American tough-guy thing just doesn't work with that kind of dialogue. That's what British actors are for.

Guys: If they've won an Oscar, they're not underrated. Tim Robbins, Christopher Walken, Kevin Spacey -- all good actors, but definitely not underrated ones.

meaning he was on screen for a few moments after 16 minutes. for example, 16 minutes and 3 seconds would be considered a shade over 16 minutes. just barely over a significant number.Originally posted by: The Godfather

Yeah. Other than Star Wars, what would the general person know him for? No one says, "Wow Mark Hamill is such a great actor! Oscar material!"
The general person would say, "Wow he sucked as Luke Skywalker and that's why he doesn't get acting jobs anymore!"
He is and always will be known by the general public as the cheesy actor that played Luke Skywalker.

Ok ok so what you're saying is that his appearances in Silence of the Lambs are only a little above 16 minutes in total? Yet he won an oscar for it?
