Samuel L. Jackson is actually OVERRATED in a way. Because he's absolutely perfect for most films (like Pulp Fiction), its assumed he'll be good at roles in films like Star Wars, which IMO turned out to be ridiculously untrue. I love Samuel L. Jackson, but he sucked bad as a Jedi master. The whole American tough-guy thing just doesn't work with that kind of dialogue. That's what British actors are for.

He never completely vanish. He was in the made for TV movie Merlin. More recently he had small parts in Sin City and Batman Begins. I'm pretty sure he's been doing small roles in various TV shows or movies.

"On screen" means "in the movie." "A shade over" means "a little over."

yep. his dr. lecter character was on-screen for around 16 minutes and he won the best actor in a leading role oscar that year. it is an academy record in that category.
