So as the tittle says...

Name the games you are playing with OCZ NIA (OCZ Neural Impulse Actuator)

Also any specific settings or tricks you use to control it.

I just ordered mine last week, and waiting for it to arrive.

I'm planning to try it on all my favourite games can't wait to get my head into it

Let me know how that works out for you... 100+ dollar peripheral for something that 'reads your mind' to play? no thanks, gimmicks aren't my thing.

I'm surprised that they're even going to sell any, but apparently they'll sell at least one.

Let us know how well it works; I'm interested for the novelty alone.

The trick I use is to assure my mouse and keyboard are setup properly... assuring that when my mind tells my hands to move and my fingers to click, they do so.

it works as a mouse replacement, once you get used to it.

or you can use it as a 3rd input device as you use the regular keyb and mouse

so is like playing with 3 hands, instead of just 2

I remember reading about this in the Computex coverage from quite a while ago.

Definitely post your experience as I will be quite interested to see how it works for you. I can only imagine it will take a little getting used to, but if it works as intended it could very, very cool.

I lol @ this useless piece of crap.

you can eat your words later, when it becomes the norm

I doubt it. Knowing how difficult it is to get an accurate EEG using high-dollar medical technology, I don't see this thing doing much.

At the very least it's going to be high maitenance, because reading electrical impulse from the body accurately requires some prep.

yes, training is expected, as mentioned on many reviews

there are plenty of review on the net about the one from OCZ, just google it and you'll find plenty.

there is another one from a different company, but i don't like the helmet design of the other one, by Emotiv Systems

So both of your reviews are previews

True. Not real "reviews" just previews, which to me are worthless.
Here's the new ad campaign slogan:
"OCZ NIA - Making gamers look even cooler than they already do"

reading about this thing makes me think it sounds extremely stupid. you have to basically make faces to do certain moves? gritting your teeth to fire, raise your eyebrow to jump? seems like a lot more work than it should be.

And further proof that it doesn't work of "brain impulses" or whatever the hell people are saying. Myogenic electrical interference would override any EEG-type potentials the thing might be picking up...IF it can get solid contact, which would require prepping electrode sites on the body. Supposedly you don't have to do this. I wonder for how long, because we're pretty familiar with how crud on the skin can interfere with electrical transmission through it.

My guess: This thing is based off EMG potential patterns (i.e. electrical impulses from muscle contraction, which is a lot more superficial and easier to read with external measurement) and the marketing is calling it "neural impulse" interpretation, which is sort of half-true, to make it sound cooler. After all, nerds love brainwaves.

Ya, I'm sure it doesn't "Read Minds", but even so it could work really well once the User has figured out how to manipulate it. I can get rather expressive while gaming though, so I wonder if that would cause issues. Would be cool to try.

I'm not sure what to think of it (take the PUN if you will) I mean I often find me thinking of other things when playing a shooter. Like flanking and high ground etc. I like to think strategy, the killing is the easy part. None the less this seems like a gimmick I would spend 100 bucks just to say "I have a mouse that reacts to my thoughts".
