LANDECK, Kevin C., 26, Capt., Army; Illinois; 10th Mountain Division.

I just got back from his funeral today. Probably one of the hardest things I have ever done. I knew him from college before he comissioned as a 2LT. I also knew his wife pretty well.

As we drove to the cemetary, we passed his old grade school, with hundreds of young children and their teachers lining the street holding American flags. The fire department had a flag suspended from their ladders over the street. It was the most amazing thing I've ever had the honor of witnessing.

The members of the Patriot Guard Riders were also there, lining the walks with their flags.

God bless Kevin and his family, my prayers are with them in this terrible time.
