I can tell you that just is not true and I would be willing to bet that they would listen your a General ot somebody else before they would act with just the president ordering a nuclear strike!!
No one believes that Trump will just randomly nuke someone. What people are afraid of is that he will create a situation where it is reasonable (at least in a military mindset) to nuke someone, probably by continually escalating a situation that could have been defused by a better leader, and then go through with it. Just think what would have happened if Trump had been President during the Cuban Missile Crises!

I don't think it's so much he would nuke someone, but I'm sure he would order it. I believe there's enough safeguards that the order wouldn't be executed, but didn't he want to nuke hurricanes too? The soldiers are not happy with what Trump has done in Syria. They are even less happy with what is going on in Saudi Arabia. Our soldiers are not mercenaries for hire.
