Napa valley

I'm actually heading up to Napa this weekend for the first time. We're going to spend the first day doing the whole wine tasting tours.

I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions on what to do during the day besides the wine tasting. I was thinking of maybe a balloon ride or bike tour. If there are any locals that want to share some cool sights that would be great.

The area is pretty spread out with mostly two lane roads.

Umm, find some quiet quaint towns to window shop? There is a cool town north of Novato that I cant recall the name. Now that I think of it it is a bit outa the wine tasting way.

Sears point is near there. Might be races going on.
Marine world is also near there.. but that place is ghetto.

Maybe find a time they have hot air balloon rides early in the day then do the driving and tasting from mid morning till afternoon? I am sure there are bed and breakfast places in the area.

I would look for townships and find some mom and pop eatery.

But, That area is made for wine tasting and warm lazy drives with the wind blowing through your hair. If she is wearing a dress, be sure to have taken your gfs panties early in the day so you can have fun while driving the lazy roads!

Be sure to stop along those quiet roads to admire the scenery, a romantic stroll, or pictures

If you have a romantic moment, be sure to pick up a case of wine at the next stop just so the bottles can remind you of that lazy afternoon later in life.

An old friend of mine went to Napa valley once. He came back married. Needless to say, the family and friends were not amused.

Yeah I was thinking of just touring the area for a bit. Any particular stops that someone is really fond of?

the wine train is kinda cool. it takes a trip through the valley. we did this about 8 years back when my dad and i were there. sears point is neat, you could go up to the railroad museum and old western town in Sacramento too.

For dinner, I recommend going to Bounty Hunter's for the beer can chicken. They BBQ a chicken over a tequiza can and its really juicy and good.

Not really, I was there last summer and only one place you had to pay.

How about beer tasting? There are a lot of great breweries up in that area.
