What the best way to narrow source of instability in an overclock. I'm trying to get to 2400mhz on my 3200 with my ram at 1:1. I try various voltages for vcore and vdimm and it keeps failing the blend test in prime. My memory timings are at 2.5-3-3-10 which I think should easily pass. It did 33 passes in memtest at 2.7vdimm with just 1 error in test 7 so I figured more voltage would fix that. I'm not sure what is causing the instability and what to do to try to find it. Could it be my ram or is it my processor?
I tried it with a 133 divider which gave my memory 160mhz speed. The blend test ran for under 6 hours before it failed. My vcore was at 5.25v. I would think my cpu could handle 2400 mhz without a problem. If it was the cpu shouldn't it fail in the same time as when the memory was at the same speed?
Is there any chance it could be my psu? How could I test that? Also my comp runs fine at 2300mhz with memory 1:1.
