Nasal Irrigation anyone?

I did it when I worked in a factory to get the crap out of my nasal cavities. It would run black every day. Yech.

As far as unclogging a stuffy nose, I've found it to have minimal effects.

I have a nettle pot i use about once a month.

heh once after working outisde i used it. it ran black for a while. felt a whole lot better after i was done.

..swore it was nettle. either way its not soothing or fun but it does work!

I did once when I had a sinus infection and bad allergies. I think it helped, can't say for sure.

I get chronic low-grade sinus infections that give me pain behind my eyes, a mild stomach ache (I assume from drainage), and tiredness. If I flush my sinuses with salt water about 4+ times a week, all these symptoms dissapear and I feel much better. If i let it go a week or so, all the syptoms start up again.

I use saline/nasal spray twice a day every day. I get the generic Ocean knock off from Sam's club.

I've found since I've started doing this I no longer get a random bloody nose and have not once been sick in that past 1.5 years. I used to get sinus infections on a regular basis and colds all the time before I started this practice.

Every morning I wake up and have to clear out my throat from all the crap that's accumulated in it. I'm talking nasty stuff I'm hacking up in the morning. I've considered this, but never got around to it.

I tried the pot thingy once when the nose was blocked up. It helped unclog the pipes, but it is too weird for me.

Try using a tongue cleaner + brushing before bed and it may stop that. Otherwise thats some serious reverse drainage.

When I was on the farm I used a mix of warm water, baking soda and salt, put it in my hand and snorted it to clear out the allergens. The ratios (recipe) are on hand at many clinics and pharmacies.

Now I'm back in the city and there are not many allergens so I don't have to anymore.
