As someone not up on the details of US flag details I'm going to ask some probably obvious questions.

As I understand it the Confederate flag that stereotypically gets flown from the back of a pickup truck or sown onto a denim jacket is the battle flag of the republic?
And this is ostensibly flown "as a symbol of southern pride".

How long was the battle flag used in its original form?
According to the wiki just the 4 years of the war. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_the_Confederate_States_of_America

Its like a mirror image to an NFL quarterback who lead his team to a super bowl appearance.

2016 - Kaepernick (55.2) ranked 23rd out of 30 qualified passers in 2016 QBR, placing him ahead of starters like Ryan Tannehill, Cam Newton, Carson Wentz, Eli Manning, Blake Bortles, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Case Keenum.

He wasn't a great QB but you can't try and paint a any similarities to a loser who raced in a sport most don't know exists.

Im not a NASCAR guy but I do know these guys don’t have the biggest brains. When he starts to cut his spending because no new money is coming in I’m gonna guess he will chance his mind

again I’m not a NASCAR guy but some racer said today “nothing good comes from that flag today”

It looks like he was a pretty terrible driver. He was probably having problems finding sponsors already.

Who knows, this might actually help his career. With his new 15 minutes of fame as a self declared redneck, maybe he can get a sponsorship in another racing series for a few races.

So. You were ok with the south owning slaves to the end of time.

If it wasn’t for people like Sherman that is what would have happened

How about the continuing raping of the slaves by the slave owners?

Or maybe the south should just gotten with the program and ended slavery.

I'm not defending slavery in any way.
I have no idea how you twisted that into the conversation. I guess it is a way of making me an evil person in order to make points.

It must be exhausting going through life, always complaining that everyone else never understands you.

So when I typed southern scumbags racists you just assumed that I included every person from the south such as you?

Well, unless you self identify as such I don't think the phrase should have ever bothered you....

just saying...

Hahahaha, good to know their dipshittery was abundant back then as well:

The third national flag (also called the "Blood-Stained Banner") was adopted March 4, 1865. The red vertical bar was proposed by Major Arthur L. Rogers, who argued that the pure white field of the Second National flag could be mistaken as a flag of truce: when hanging limp in no wind, the flag's "Southern Cross" canton could accidentally stay hidden, so the flag could mistakenly appear all white.

Look how progressive!

The fuck? They gave their IRS a flag?

Its like a mix of China and Chile?

Yeah, but, did he actually call it his "special flag" or was that part of the joke?
That was part of the joke.
Either way he’s done. The racing company he drove for is pretty much having to shut down. Not only did he take out his own shitty career but he took out the whole company.

Its ok it works both ways. You can just start responding "goo-goo ga-ga" and make kissy faces at him. Its all the same to him. Maybe post a video of you rattling your keys.

I'm pretty sure that I did that last bit in post form once, lol.

I think he owned the racing company? I saw something about his wife having made a post that it was all for sale. There was another article somewhere pointing out he hadn't even actually been in a race this year (he tried and failed to qualify at one I think and then missed another). My guess is they were broke or otherwise not gonna be able to field a team anyway and saw this as an opportunity to try and excuse their failure as though it was out of protest. Fucking losers find a way even to fuckup losing in a way that makes them biggers losers.

This one is less surprising than you seem to think. Basically the origin of the US Coast Guard was when Alexander Hamilton established the US Revenue Cutter Service as part of the Department of the Treasury.

Basically the primary initial purpose was to stop smuggling (and evading customs duties) although they tended to take more military roles when the US got involved in conflicts, and presumably in practice the Confederate focus was on the military aspects for the period it was actually in existence. (Part of this was that in practice the Confederacy tried to simply duplicate many of the basic institutions that had existed already for the United States, and the organization appeared to rely allot of individuals who had previously been part of the US version.)

As a lifelong racing fan, I just want to say that Nascar sucks. It's basically the Harley Davidson of racing. Old, slow, overpriced, and willfully catering to a shrinking customer base at the expense of getting any new fans.

not his protesting.

the fact that he is not good at the sport, made a scene and keeps making a big deal about not getting back into it, while holding training's that he changes the location of at the last min to make sure nobody shows up.
I really wonder how much the ‘Kaepernick is bad’ crowd has ever watched football. They seem so clueless about the basics of the sport.

He was a midrange starting quarterback in the NFL, which makes him around the top two dozen people on the entire planet at his sport. He’s extremely, extremely good at it.

Perhaps, but would you not agree this action makes them suck just a bit less?
