I don't follow nascar now so what makes you think I'd give a crap about it if they were all electric?

4 hour pit stops to recharge are going to make for some dull racing.

They can make the car run off a bunch of AA rechargeable batteries, when they go in pit they have a crew change all 10,000 of them for fresh ones.

Actually it would be kinda interesting to see a car running off a bunch of AA's. Would make for a pretty good Energizer commercial. lol.

I found out yesterday that F1 doesn't do refueling anymore and cars get by on a single tank of gas per race by using hybrid tech?

Neither! Motorsports is essentially about the, well, motors. It was a mistake when F1 did it and would be a mistake for Nascar to do it. They replaced the unmistakable whale of the V10's with a sound of an overgrown tractor. Nascar is about the rumble of the V8's, don't lose it.

They started doing that a long time ago 2010 and didn't start the hybrid stuff till 2014. F1 races are just a lot shorter at 190 miles and they carry 35 gallons vs 22 gallons for Nascar. Even if you gave Nascar teams larger tanks they would have to stop for tires and they way Nascar does pit stops tires take longer than fueling anyway.

They've had an eBike race at the Isle of Man TT for about 5 years now and although the average speed was less than 70mph I think a few years ago last year they topped 115mph. The 1000cc bikes average about 134mph.

There's not too many road cars that are faster 0-60 than a Tesla.

Electrics here to stay -- get used to it!
