"yes, we dont' have that right now" she says.. "um... but it syas here on the menu".

WTF!!! "so you have 9 piece meals ready, but no 6 piece meals yet."
"That's right."

COME ON EINSTEIN! JUST TAKE 3 OF THE NUGGETS OUT! AAAARGH

Haha, nice!

Sad to say, but yours truly used to work at a McDonalds. Someone once ordered a cheeseburger, but specified "no cheese". I said, "you want a cheeseburger, but without cheese?", to which they applied in the affirmative. I charged them for a cheeseburger, and gave them a hamburger. I figured it was idiot tax, plus I had already punched it in the machine and didn't feel like changing it.

A woman once ordered nuggets and wanted only white meat. I asked her how I'm supposed to ensure that. Well, she insisted that the McDonald's near her house was able to do it. So I pull the manager over, and he explained that the only way to know for sure was to cut each nugget open and look at it. Then she walked away like we were the a-holes. Um, ya...

I know I sound like a jerk, but I was probably the most courteous employee there. Just because I'm nice to you on the outside, doesn't mean I'm not thinking "what a dumb nut" on the inside!

Nasty biatch at Taco Bell!

I'm going through a greater pain every day. The place where I happen to work has two eateries adjoined together. One is a supposedly cheap eatery (it's way overpriced, though). The other is a restaurant with waiters. In order to get to the cheaper one, I have to walk through the restaurant and all the waiters in there. I do not wish nor I can afford to eat at that restaurant and tip the waiters. Thus, at lunchtime, I usually go to the cheaper one at about 1 PM. Once I went there and it was closed for maintenance or whatever. Then I decided to dine at the adjoining restaurant. I checked their prices and was shocked how much overpriced everything was. I then spotted some potato chips (I know this is very bad food but better then nothing) for about $2 and told the bartender to give it to me, handing him about $5. He looked at me as if I were a POS and told me in the most unpleasant voice: 'No. We do not have any change for you'. I was so shocked I walked out and I was feeling very bad about that.

Maybe it was 39 cent cheeseburger day and on those days hamburgers are 89 cents.

I don't think there's been one of those promos around here for half a decade.

Holy toledo, you might be right! I really don't remember 39 cents cheeseburgers until after I started working there... but my memory is a bit fuzzy.

I was shocked and asked her what she said and she repeated it. I started to tell her that me eating there was job security for her, but wasn't in the mood to say anything.

She's just looking out for you. If you're getting lunch at Burger King everyday, chances are your arties aren't going to be too happy. Unless you're over 400lbs, then they probably demand it...

WHile ringing out my restaraunt tab at a local chain restaraunt (baker's Square, suburban Chicago), I gave the "person" at the register exact change, that included a Kennedy half-dollar. She picked it up, looked at it, then said " I'm sorry sir, we only take American money" ....

I asked her to check with the manager (standing nearby) to see if he'd OK accepting this coin, "just this one time."

She walked it over to him, apparently asked, the manager looked at me like "See what I have to deal with?" and told her it was OK to take the "foreign" money.

A friend of mine like to get $2.00 bills (he askes his bank to get 'em / save 'em for him). When he gets 'em home, he presses and "pads" them (the rubber-like stuff that binds a pad of paper together).

When he cashes out of some place, he pulls out his pad of $2.00 bills, strips off however many he needs, and hands 'em to the (usually clueless) clerk. It's usually a semi-fun thing to watch.

Otherwise, I try to be nice to the counter folks and service people at restaraunts, and tip well (if deserved). They usually have to put up with a lot of undeserved crap (no reference to the original post ... just in general).

I went in and ordered two steak bowls and as I was getting back the change from my $20 i dropped some change on the floor and counter. I bent over to pick it up from counter & floor and the nasty bi*ch serving me said "You need to slow it down." I ignored here because...well why would I not ignore that comment? THen she said "You heard me." By this time I was like "wtF am I hearing." So I stood up and said "What?" And her reply was "You heard me. You need to slow it down." I was really too surprised to do anything except wait for my food cause I could not imagine in god's earth what was up her ass such that she'd think to act like that.

So as my anger seethed I checked my receipt. On it was the number to taco bell and the manager's name. I called him and he promised to take care of it.

The shame of things like this is I'm too surprised and what I'm hearing to do anything until I think on it later to be sure I didn't miss anything at how nasty some people can be!
That sucks. And did you happen to see what kind of light bulbs they were using?
