Man, the krispy kreme near me closed down. Guess there weren't enough donut lovers in the area.

Same with the one near me. Couldn't have been there for more than a year or two before closing either. It's just as well that they're gone...I have no will power

Correction-there WERE donut lovers near you. I went to KK shortly after it opened, had a fresh, warm glazed donut and could barely choke it down. A few months later I tried it again, same result. KK donuts seem to be about 1/3 glaze, 2/3 donut. Straight sugar out of the sugarbowl is more appealing.

Be a real donut lover-buy at your local bakery before KK and Dunkin Donuts kills them all.

From what I've heard around the rumor mills is that the Atkins diet really hurt sales on the Krispy kreme stores. I know at least 3 stores that have closed down--2 in Baltimore area and one in Delaware.
