Some one was telling me about the Naugas of east Africa. I had not seen one until I went to east Africa. Naugas are actually like wildebeasts except they have exceptional skin quality and have a very short growth cycle (easy for breeding). They are actually much larger than I imagined and are very pleasant to be around. I found out the hard way that they have a fondness of cheese. They actually got into my stash of gouda and baby swiss and ate every bit of it. With all the different colors of naugahide you would expect odd colored animals but most vary from light brown, younger ones, to a dark gray to dark brown for older naugas. The skin is very soft and takes coloration very easily and that is why you see the variation in color.
