why is this knife so cheap, looks nice but it may be shady quality for that price... anyone know?

Thats not the real navy seal knife. I believe the real one is a black carbon steel blade one and non-folding. Think SOG speciality knives makes them.

Also, navy seals don't actually have a specified knife that they must use.

I picked one up at a gun show like 2 years ago. They suck. The blade doesn't stay sharp... etc.

but they pack it poorly and the stuff is of the lowest quality.

bud k this place sells lots of knives of the same quality for that price. I got two of the 5.95 Smith&amp;wesson imitation ones and they are ok for 5$$. after about 2 months of constantly flicking it out one of them became really loose tho.

SOG does make seal knifes, but they are fixed blade. never heard of a seal pocket knife.

I love my Spiderco knives. They clean and sharpen for free...I have seen cheap imitations, but the action (flipping the blade out) always stink (sticky). Also, the blades are terrible. Go spyderco...expensive, but fantastic.

i have this knife.. it's alright... it's not a &quot;real&quot; knife.. real meaning it's not something you'll use for hunting and stuff.. but it's good for opening packages, or just general knife play... quality is decent, but it's only worth the shipping you pay for it... i've had the knife for months now.. no complaints so far..

As a knife juggler/eater, I highly recommend this knife for its experimental value-

since it ain't sharp-it ain't gonna hurt

If you're going to get a knife, get a good one. Go to a sporting goods store and look around. A very good knife costs only about $20 and it'll be useful for a long time. Better steel will make the blade stay sharp longer and make the knife more reliable.
