NB and Video cooling options

hey there, just before i go and do some ordering, does anyone foresee any problems putting a Zalman NB47J on my IS7 and a artic cooling vga silencer on my 9600 pro...

I realize that the vga get up is overkill, but its on sale super cheap. I guess i am just worried about the Zalman cooling enough now, or if i ever oc any. Right now im at stock speeds, but have been known to run it at ~250 FSB. I do have 2 120mm fans in my case so i am hoping this should be enough air flow across the passive NB cooler. BTW are these not the worst OEM fans ever instaled or what??? crazy loud

I use a Abit NF7-S and used the Zalman to replace that stock mini-noisemaker, it barely gets warm to the touch. I also use the Zalman VGA Heatpipe w/ optional lowspeed fan on my 9800 Pro in the same system no issues.

This is in a Antec Sonata case with 2 120mm Zalman fans @ 7 Volts.

i was also considering a zalman video setup also, but this vga silencer is only $22 CND this week so why not.

Stick with the VGA Silencer. Its far better than the Zalman thing.
I had a Zalman w/ 92mm fan blowing on it, on my 9700pro, and i couldnt OC for nothing. With a VGA Silencer, i could get 360/700. And thats with the VGA Silencer on low. Which is near silent.
It`ll fit fine. The Mobo HS wont interfere with the VGA Silencer, as the VGA Silencer is on the opposite side of the card to what the mobo HS is, so you wont have problems.

Slightly related - I was wondering if any of you guys knew if the Swiftech Helical pin Northbridge cooler was worth the 35$ asking price. That is quite expensive for a NB cooler.

Nope.
Ive read a review that says its crap.
The Zalman NB cooler is better. Even without a fan.
