NBA 2k11 looks fantastic!

Any interest in a league? My NCAA football league is in its last couple of weeks and if we don't get more people to join, it will fold and I'd like to move on to a new league of some sort.

Any experience playing online leagues with the PC versions of their products? Steam had MLB 2K10 for $1.99, but I missed that deal because of paralysis by analysis. I'd like to be ready for them next time.

I'll tell you this, I used to run (ok co-run) some INCREDIBLE PC online franchises for Madden and EA NBA LIVE. We really did it up quality wise by people having to upload the game logs (.txt files) and the website parsing the info into a mySQL database. Then I took that, some fancy-ass .jsp and made some killer web pages for the leagues. It was a complete blast.

Even the console franchises suck compared to what we had. I ALMOST had a job at EA Sports in their EASO days helping design this stuff (old buddy from Mplayer was running the show but I refused to move to CA).

Anyways, I'd love to give 2K sports a chance with such a thing.

Ok guys, I need some freaking help. I am having a REALLY hard time driving into the lane. I'm running set plays, moving the ball around quickly. I keep trying the crossover move and stutter step, but even if I create seperation one on one, as soon as I drive into the lane I run into someone else. I cannot seem to find an open path for a layup attempt or god forbid a dunk. Any tips?

Btw, I play on pro mode with custom slider set from operation sports.

I've only played one game so far, but I couldn't find a consistent way to drive to the hoop. It seemed to happen by pure luck. I'm still shocked I won the game. I bought 2K10 and didn't play it much; I don't think I EVER won a game in it.

Yeah the interior D is alot more serious this year. Not sure what to tell you though, I play on all-star simulation sliders and can get to the rim ok, or atleast draw a foul. Is it some particular player you're having trouble with or just everybody? With real quick players like Derrick Rose, John Wall, I do ok. Otherwise I just try to create separation for a mid-range jumper.

BTW, which slider set do you use from OS?

Kevin Durant is broken in this game.

Every time I play against the Thunder he drops at least 60 on me. Just now he scored 78 points in 33 minutes of playing time. 13/20 from 3. All they do is pass to him on the wing and instant 3 points. Lame!

They do. I think in trying to give the user so many different "moves," they've made the controls so complicated and convoluted that you can't do any of them. Well, OK, I can do a crossover most of the time and sometimes I can get a spin to work, but that's about it.

I'm not a basketball expert so some of the play calls don't make sense to me. I understand things like "Pick" or "Isolation" or "Post," not things like "21 fade" or whatever. I guess I'll just have to run a generic offense and just look for open guys.

Last night, I played them again and they were hitting everything. I did manage to keep it close and trailed by 1 going into the fourth, but they finally won by 7. Then I decided to play against the Raptors and won easily. I think I just need to start a franchise and let the chips fall where they may.

I'm starting to notice that as well. It's really annoying when I play 12 minute sim quarters for over an hour and the end of every game turns into the same BS.

It definitely seemed that way in NBA 2K10. I bought it but only played 4 or 5 games. Every game seemed to go roughly the same -- I'd battle it out, build a lead, and then see it disappear in the second half and I'd lose.

At least I've won a couple of games with 2K11.

Try turning off clutch factor, should help with those 2nd half runs by the cpu

Yeah I still think iso-motion kind've sucks, but its usable. Try setting up the opponent with a sizeup or hesitation dribble, then perform your move. Combined with euro-step layups and such, it's pretty effective to get to the basket.

Especially on higher difficulty levels, I need to call plays everytime down the floor. The numbers in the play names designate players involved in the play. e.g. - 21 Fade has the 2 guard (SG) initiating the play so that the 1 guard (PG) fades off a screen to get an open shot.

I'll watch those videos. I just tried to play as the Lakers vs. the Pacers and barely won. Iso-motion blows -- it is way too hard to make moves in this game. I think I may just need to dial it down to rookie until I can become more proficient.

No. I've tried to get various AT leagues going:

1. NHL
2. MLB
3. NBA

No dice on any of them. I ran last year's Madden league and this year's NCAA league, and they both ran out of steam towards the third quarter of the season. We may still get a Madden 10 league going this year, as we did have 6 or 7 people express interest in it.
