How many times did we see that this playoffs? NBA is a joke. The game is closer related to football than to basketball. We may as well call it Thugball with the likes of Shaquille O'Neil and his push-fest.

I miss the good ole days when players actually lived on skill.

Shaq could take lessons from Moses Malone on how to play physical ball. Dr J would spank Kobe's a**. Plus don't forget Maurice Cheeks, Andrew Toney, Bobby Jones.....

I'd have to agree that the NBA is a little dramatic and allows certian things that normal basketball will not. Either that or I'm really picky with what I see when I'm watching.

I guess what I really don't like is how they zoom in on one player and then talk about this player's life background for the next 5 minutes. Can we same lame. I'd like to watch the game, thanks broadcasters ...

i have to agree it's a lil out of control now.
they also have to do something about the carrying/travelling, which they did call a couple of times in the series, which was good for a change. and they also did try to make a couple of calls on shaq.

shaq really has no ball skill, just sheer strength and size. i mean c'mon now, i can hit free throws better than that. he spends hours practicing, get the darn ball in the hoop.

Chuck Daily began the ruination of the NBA with the &quot;Bad Boy&quot; Pistons. His strategy was to plant Bill Lambier (piece of crap thug) in the pain and tell him to elboy any player trying to drive to the basket. This began the over agressive defense and decline in scoring which started around 1990

Pat Riley completed the ruination of the NBA by taking the Chuck Daily Bad Boy strategy and perfecting it to a science with the Knicks. He would have Ewing play legit D and than Have Oakley, Xavier McDaniel and Anthony Mason thug it up around the basket, and Derek Harper (the man who got the had check baned from the NBA) and John Starks to play bump defense on the guards.

Jeff Van Gundy has continued the fine Riley tradtion of thugish trash ball in NY while Riley took the tradition to Miami. Let's all thank these geniuses for ruining a once great sport.

You want to watch exciting true basketball? Watch the Sacramento Kings. Watch the Dallas Mavericks. But yeah, I guess playing like a thug us how you win championships now adays (Lakers, Ravens). Answer me this though. If Shaq were playing for Vancouver or Sacramento, would he get away with all the elbows and shoving he does with now? When the Bulls were winning championships, it was nice to see thugish teams like the Knicks lose to finese. Anyways, I am not so bitter that the Lakers won. I just don't enjoy to watch Shaq's style of play and its disappointing to see him in so many series.

That's because you would have been more of a bitch than you already are Brotherman.

The individual talent if more widespread now but it seems the concept of team play is a lost Art. That is why its no surprise the team that won it all (Flakers) is one of the few teams that does play Team ball. In addition, the Concept of swarming defense is rare and again that is why the Flakers, who play Swarming Defense, are the Champions.

There is nobody in the League today that dominates like Fat Shaq but the rest of the Flakers, including the Black Hole (Kobe), are just real good ball players. There are others who are as good if not better in the league. Take away Phil Jackson and Shaq &quot;I never met a meal I didn't eat&quot; and they would be just another good team in the NBA instead of the best.
