<< How awesome it is to have so many good players that you can move guys away from their natural spot >>
van exel is a terrible floor leader. he's a shoot first, second, and third type of point guard, like marbury, but
without the athletic ability. his passing, when he deigns to do so, benefits mostly on the fastbreaks when he
has someone fast and athletic (posey and mcdyess) to finish for him.
lafrentz isn't a true center. he prefers the perimeter on offense and can't bang with the larger bodies on defense.
for a center, he averages 7.4 boards a game. that sucks. what is most telling about that stat is he's the primary
big body on the boards with mcdyess out on extended injury leave, which means his average should be alot
higher by default - yet obviously not.
nowitzki can take most power fowards off the dribble. he can bring them out to the perimeter and do as he
wishes with them. but he doesn't have the same flexibility with the small forwards because on average they're
faster laterally and quicker overall than he is. they kill his dribble penetration and force him to rely on long jumpers.
