Well that wasn't very fun last night lol.
I only got to watch the first quarter and and a few minutes into the 2nd because I had a graduation I had to go to, but when I left, I think they were down 18-20pts. During that time, Porzingus was playing lights out. Pretty amazing coming off injury and not playing most of the playoffs. I don't usually pay attention to East Coast teams and hadn't seen him play prior to, but I was impressed with his game.

I wish, I think they're going to win this series.
I was thinking that too, but after last night I have to wonder if the Mavs have a chance. I know, it's played on the court and that's where it's decided. But I think the Mavs have only a slim chance now. I'll be watching Sunday, though.

I wouldn't overreact to one game. I remember the Memorial Day Massacre when the Celtics murdered the Lakers 148-114 at home in Game 1 and still lost the series in 6.

I think the Mavs are more fun to watch. Doncic and Irving are OMG talents, but the addition of Portzingis tilts the stage a ton.

In general I find the Celtics boring to watch. They are like such a good and complete team that it is just kind of boring to watch. They always have someone open on the perimeter and they usually find em and they knock down the jumper.

Dallas just can't do it when they get within 10 here in the second half. Game three at home, they need it.

This series is basically over unfortunately. I hope I am wrong though. They basically need both at home to have a chance, and the way it has looked seems like that is not a possibility.

And Tatum hasn't really played an average game yet. I'd argue he's played below average both games, at least in the scoring department, and they are just crushing them still. They just have so many weapons.

Kyrie is really stinking it up too. He had 8 points in the first quarter then disappeared. Luka gonna Luka as usual but he needs help.

When Jrue Holiday is your leading scorer and you still pull out the win after not scoring for a 2+ minute stretch at the end of the 4th quarter, that's a good sign.

Personally, I love watching the way the celtics play. The ball movement in this team is off the charts. It's great to watch the development away from that ISO ball BS that plagued them the last two years in the playoffs.

Sorry they're not the popular choice here, but GO CELTS!

That ball movement is mostly perimeter until a guy gets an open 3 pointer. Even without being able to hit many of them, they controlled the game because of passes in the paint. Mavs need a 3rd guy to emerge, Jason Kidd said it. But who? Even Kyrie looked stressed. Luka's at his own pace, did great although banged up. Hard for me to think the Mavs have a chance.

I'm bad at predictions, but I agree it's over. The Celtics are too good of a team to lose 4 out of 5 now, barring a catastrophic injury. However, last night's game was close so I wouldn't say it's impossible? ESPN highlighted the pivotal late block by Derrick White on PJ Washington's dunk attempt, but it looked to me like the dunk was blocked by the rim. Tired legs, I can only guess.

Kyrie Irving has now lost 12 straight games to the Celtics.

The Cs can thank the Bucks front office for acquiring Dame Lillard, which ultimately re-routed Jrue Holiday to Boston.

Last nights game was closefor a bit, and it took Celtics having an awful shooting night from behind the 3 point line and Tatum to have another dud game scoring wise. Oh and Porzingis was also clearly not as healthy as he was in game 1.

If they had a normal 3pt shooting night and Tatum had a normal game, they would have blown the Mavs out.

So is Porzingis' season over or are the Celtics playing possum here like the Thunder did with Ibaka in 2014?

The injury sounds awful. Porzingas didn't seem to think it would stop him from playing, but I can't imagine they risk it for the next 4 games. If the series goes to 7, maybe he demands to play? I just don't think they'd risk it with him signed through next year as well.

I don't know how you could have survived this.

That was.... AMAZING. He deserved every shred of criticism in that report.

Also, Kyrie did get it going in this game, just wasn't enough. If Dallas is going to win a championship, they can't do it with Kleber and Hardaway coming off the bench going a combined 0-7 with a -29 combined +/-. I know these aren't Dallas's primary bench players, but if you're gonna be in the game, you gotta show up.

Damn I didn't know Luka posted on ATOT.

Seemed like Boston got all the 50/50 calls and that sixth on Doncic was rough when Brown was pushing off on him. Was really hoping this one would go 6 or 7. Oh well Olympics are in a month and a half so I got something other than baseball to watch this summer. Now just gotta find some streams so I can watch the France basketball games since American coverage only shows the US.

Man WTF was Kidd doing calling a timeout on a fast break opportunity when the Mavs were on that 20-2 run? The look on Doncic's face was priceless like WTF are you doing coach? Completely broke Dallas' momentum when they were so ridiculously on fire.

I thought the 5th and 6th foul calls on Doncic were clearly blocking. It was obvious to me he was not set on both of them.

Either way though, when you have 5 fouls and just went on like a 20-2 run to get yourself right back in the game, you can't be trying to draw a charge like that against a player like Brown especially. If it was some tall lanky big man down in the paint, okay I can see that, but in basically the open court against Brown is just a terrible idea.
