Seemed like Boston got all the 50/50 calls and that sixth on Doncic was rough when Brown was pushing off on him. Was really hoping this one would go 6 or 7. Oh well Olympics are in a month and a half so I got something other than baseball to watch this summer. Now just gotta find some streams so I can watch the France basketball games since American coverage only shows the US.
I'm not a huge fan of Brian Windbag and that clip is kinda hard to watch; I actually thought it was some AI bullshit until towards the end. Since when does that fucker unload on superstars; does he think he's Stephen A. Smith now? Luka didn't shoot well, but it's "his fault" they lost because his 27/6/6 was too whiny? GTFO.
Luka can be whiny at times, but I thought he was okay last night. Although they didn't have enough to
overturn his 6th foul, it was a bang bang play that could go either way. Luka
arguably had the spot, and Jaylen crossed left into his body. (If they had called a charge, I don't think they overturn that.) I'm not sure what Luka is supposed to do there. We know he's not the most agile guy and he's staring down Jaylen Brown in transition. He's not gonna just successfully D him up, so the other option is the James Harden defense and let Brown blow past you to the rim. With 5 fouls, concession is probably the right decision but you give up a bucket.
I don't think the refs were terribad but they overturned the possession challenge when Jrue clearly hacked Luka on the arm. That's the rulebook, but it's tough.
The offensive foul on PJ Washington's screen didn't seem right to me.
Props to Brown for clutch play; he's -350 to win MVP. Not bad for a guy some thought would be traded if the Celtics choked again in these playoffs.
