I guess after their improbable run 2 years ago, they just ran out of steam? They were pretty damn fun to watch when they were playing well. Ah well, heh. Given the teams and talent that are already present in the Western Conference, it'll be extremely improbable that the Warriors will make a presence...

you're going to find that you overpaid for brand and iguodola.

They made it to the playoffs last year without a legitimate post threat. Now they have a guy that's a 20/10 and 2 blocks a game down there helping out on both offense and defense. AI2 was forced to make a lot of plays that weren't there because there weren't any scorers on the team. No he has somebody to help share the load. Miller is an very underrated point guard and will be dishing out 10+ assists a game with Brand there now. It's a solid lineup at every position short of a true SG.

Even as a Bulls fan, I like the move as it provides a little more validity to the Eastern conference.

Boston will be good, but I don't see them repeating. I'm not so sure that the big three have the hunger now that they have their ring.

Detroit is still Detroit, but they aren't getting any younger either.

Philly is young and focused.

Atlanta put a solid scare into Boston in the playoffs.

If Orlando plays up to it's ability it will be a solid team.

Same for Chicago - they have one of the deepest benches in the league with great talent at every position. A team that is *much* better than the stinker they put up last season.

And the Cleveland Lebrons are always in the fight as long as Lebron is able to move.

The east should be fun this year.

The last 3 years the Raptors get hyped up as up & comers in the east. Every year they are riddled with injuries and do nothing.

I don't see a lot changing adding an aging Jermain 0'Neal that has averaged like 50 games a season the last 5 years.

Well, only cause they managed to win their division that one year. This year should be decent, but I don't see them making out of the 2nd round.

i didnt' say brand wasn't good. he's definitely an above avg pf.
but when they demand max contracts, they put their teams in a bind, making them unable to acquire other good players to make the TEAM better.
face it, brand is overpaid.
and iguodala is also over rated. no shot, can't really create his own offense. all he has is jumping ability. he's a more athletic richard jefferson, but RJ actually has improved his jumper recently.

i'm not hating against the 76ers. i just don't like overrated, overpaid, cocky players.

While I can agree that 76er's may possibly have overrated players (just contract-wise), I can't deny that team on paper. It looks rather solid, and I think they can seed pretty high in the east. Having them get passed the first round isn't a bad assumption.
