That's pretty hilarious actually.

Criminals taking advantage of naive idealism and vulnerability, what are the odds?

Christ, people really are this stupid.

Places do get robbed all of the time, but banning guns makes a business a pretty viable target compared to ones that don't. Not that all criminals are going to pick up on it, but I would think any criminal doing their research would figure out that no guns equates to less risk to themselves. The smarter criminals could use this information in conjunction with police response times, and crime statistic maps that a lot of cities put up to increase the likelihood that their criminal activity is successful.

Yes, criminals do research, these are clearly very intelligent people who staked out the place, knew exactly what place to rob and all that, all for what? $50?

The overwhelming majority of criminals are not all that bright, they don't really care, they drive around high as hell and rob a place, any place.

I doubt that not allowing firearms on their premises had anything to do with them getting robbed BUT if this is the case then every single other restaurant, shop or what have you that do allow it should stand as counter evidence that it doesn't help to allow firearms on your premises.

I think you'll find, if you can get over your gloating, that the occurrence of armed robberies are about the same percentage wise (perhaps a bit lower for places that do not allow firearms but that is only because they are more niched establishments).

I guess in My Little Pony Land that counts as some kind of stinging rebuttal, right?

And done without your new, incredibly creative Benghazi retort at that. Someone give this kid a sticker!

As long as we can be happy that a crime was committed and some poor kid got scared for life it's all good.

BTW, if this was really an issue, why does the US have more armed robberies than any other western nation and why don't these types of shops get hit more often than the ones where they do allow firearms?

Lemme guess... Because hurr and the durr and the i like guns... durr.

So do i, but i'm not an idiot, i do think it's the right of the owner to say that there are no firerarms allowed on his premises and i think it just shows what a lowlife you are when you cheer him being robbed. "Ya gotta pay for your naivety"?

I'm just going to leave these here:

And oh yeah,

https://www.atf.gov/press/releases/...ard-for-information-on-gun-store-robbery.html

Fucking Christ, why do so many pro-gun people have to be so fucking stupid? Every time I see one of these threads it makes me rethink my stance on keeping firearms legal with so many of the most enthusiastic supporters being so stupid, it is hard to remain on the side of deregulation.

Sanity checks would rid the lot of these people of their firearm rights.

Some people who rob actually go where what they want is. It may be money or guns or an easy target.
Jack-in the-box is now an easy target since they banned guns 2 weeks ago because someone falsely called in a gun event at one. So far 3 robberies with one person shot. The perp didn't listen to the sign so it must not have been working.

In Houston they robbed customers too. This ban has resulted in the opposite of it's stated intent.

Stream of bullshit laden fail snipped for brevity's sake

*golf clap*

Grats, that has to be one of the lamest replies I've seen here in years. The false attribution, the lack of critical thinking and reading comprehension, the blatant strawmen you're humping away on. lol oh my.

Normally I delight in roasting little kiddie trolls like you, but it's been a long day, it's late, and I'm sure I still have more crimes to 'cheer' somewhere before I retire for the night. Guess you'll have to embarrass yourself without my assistance. On the plus side you're off to a great start, and judging by the steamers you've dropped in others threads it shouldn't be too difficult.

Stores ban guns with the express intent of prohibiting legally-carried weapons. Some owners want to make a political statement. Others have irrational fears of accidental discharges or ridiculous Wild West shootout scenarios. The reasoning behind the signs is usually stupid, but no one posts them believing that they'll prevent armed robbery.

Yes, as in "hahaaa, they got robbed, serves them right for banning guns".

Either that or you are as dumb as a bag of bricks and didn't think your reply through at all, take your pick.

You do realize that without presenting anything to show that the likelihood of a restaurant that bannes guns being robbed compared to a restaurant not banning guns being robbed you have nothing what so ever, so you go "it's an incentive" without so much as an inkling of any evidence that that is true.
