NCAA 11 online dynasty interest?

It is that time of year again, when the not-so-distant echoes of the gridiron are getting louder and louder. That's right, football season (err, the football video gaming season at least!) is almost upon us!

I ran the AT Madden league last year and am always interested in sports leagues for various sports (see my thread here: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2056977&highlight= ; don't be afraid to respond!). With the NCAA 11 demo being released today and early word that there are many improvements to NCAA's online dynasty component, I was wondering if perhaps we should start an AT online NCAA dynasty when the game is released. Is anyone else interested?

If you think you might get NCAA 11 and would be interested in an AT NCAA 11 dynasty, respond here with the following information:

I'll go ahead and claim the Purdue Boilermakers and I can buy it for either Xbox or PS3.

UPDATE: See the Hot Deals forum. Dell has the 360 version for preorder for $39.99. I saw a link on Virtual Sports Network where they also had the PS3 version for $39.99.

UPDATE #2: It looks like we may have an online dynasty. Currently, it is leaning towards Xbox 360 but that could change if more PS3ers join in! At any rate, if we get enough responses, we'll hash out rules, etc. Here is what I have so far for teams:

I'm definitely in. I was hoping to have an AT dyn last year and had no luck. I'll play my alma mater as well then, PSU.. only the PS3.

I hope we can get a dynasty together. I've been itching for some online leagues and haven't been able to generate enough interest in NBA 2K10 or MLB 10 The Show to have a league. I prefer to have an AT league rather than joining an anonymous online league, so we can trash talk each other here.

I'm hoping to sit out Madden 11 this year, so this might be my only chance at a football league this year.

EDIT: I wonder if maybe we should target filling the Big Ten first?

Yeah it's nice to pick a conference and run with it because you don't have to screw with schedules as much. Doesn't matter to me, though. The last OD I played in, we chose to have no better than 3 star teams from the beginning so we had to shuffle things around.

I would likely be interested. I am definitely not buying Madden this year, so I'll probably get NCAA 11. If we just pick random teams I'd probably take USF.

Cool. I'll definitely bump this thread once the game is released as well to see if we can get more participants. I'm thinking we need a minimum of 10 dedicated players to have fun. I'm torn between the 360 and PS3 -- I would probably buy whichever version has the most potential players here.

And Cuda, I HOPE I can avoid buying Madden this year. Every year, I swear I won't but every year, I cave. At least this year, it looks like they haven't added anything significant so I think I might actually make it this year.

I would be down for this I would like Louisville if we do big ten then probably IU. I like everyone being in the same conference makes it easier on games but you also take each other out of the big picture lol.

Hey guys, the NCAA 11 demo was released for the 360 today and my understanding is the PS3 demo will be released tomorrow. I played a quick half of OSU vs. Miami, and I am pretty impressed so far. The graphics are unreal. Gameplay seemed typical of an EA football game.

The PS3 version came out today as well. I just got done playing Miami vs. OSU and Oklahoma vs. Texas so I could unlock those uniforms to use when the game is out. I agree with you on both counts. The graphics are great, and the gameplay is familiar to me.

Good point, and I've heard that about All Madden as well. Many people seem to consider All American/All Pro with some slider adjustments the best difficulty level, as the cheating doesn't appear to be so blatant. The problem is finding the best sliders to use.

Well, here's hoping for the best with my order.

They're probably not that bad, but I've had some terrible experiences with them. The short version: I bought a part from them, they sent me the wrong part. I call dell customer support hell, and then they send me the exact same wrong part... AGAIN Then more customer support hell.

I've also ordered things there before that were considered good deals, but then they would cancel my order for no reason (probably because so many people ordered that item), and then I'd have to actually call their CS hell again, just so they'd finally refund my money because they somehow forget that when you cancel an order, you should refund the person.

I'm probably in the minority, most people have great things to say about dell, but I've long ago decided I'd never do business with their online store again. ()

Yeah, the Xbox is winning in the poll and I broke down and bought the Xbox version based on that and the fact my brothers have an Xbox and there's a decent chance one of them will get it.

Frankly, I would've preferred going with the PS3, and if the numbers turn around in the next couple of weeks, maybe I'll change the preorder over to the PS3 version.
