NCIX and Lian-Li Cases

Hey, just wondering if anyone has bought a Lian-Li case from www.ncix.com? They are a Canadian company, but they serve the US as well. Are the cases genuine Lian-Li and do they come in the original lian-li box? Any problems? I notice they say the cases have 3x3.5 inside but their pics show the 5x3.5 cages. I assume this is just a typo as lian-li switched over to the larger vertical mount cages a while back. Just want to make sure there isn't any funny business going on here since their prices are $15 or so under the competition. Thanks!

ya i ordered one from them about 6 months ago. 2 months later i still hadn't received the case. they had sent it to somewhere in California and I live in New Jersey. I had called them on it many times already, finally i had had enough so i told them i wanted my money back. they said, no, that it was not their responsibility. that i had to get back whatever UPS would offer me. UPS told me that they could only talk to the shipper not the shippee, which most of us know to be true.

bottom line, eventually they paid me back for it, but only like 5 months after i purchased the case from them. and only because i made a big stink about it on anandtech forums and some of the members emailed them telling them that they wouldn't do business with a company like this.

so after all that happened they finally relented, never called me, never apologized just sent me a credit card slip showing a refund and the money appeared in my bank account 2 weeks later. they NEVER called or communicated in anyway any type of apology which i find apalling.

I personally will never do business with them again.

I've just ordered my second Lian-Li case from www.directron.com and have been very happy with their service. As you say they are about $15 more than ncix.com, but both orders I placed (in the evening) shipped the next day.

MPCParts usually has the best prices on Lian-Li products. My RH-600 drive racks were $20 cheaper each there than Directron. PC-70 case was about $25 cheaper.

Anyone else have any experience with NCIX.com? I was just looking for the Lian Li PC61 and Pricegrabber pulls up NCIX with a price of only $140. Needless to say, that's a good bit cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.

Part of the problem is that UPS is one of the worst shipping companies of all times. Never ship with UPS.

If this is turning into a UPS discussion...
I probably average only one or two packages a month (coming and going). In the past couple of years I've had:
A: One of my packages was left at a neighbor's addresss.
B: Someone else's package was left at my house.
So I guess it all evens out.

D.

PS. I'm still hoping to hear from someone else that has done business with NCIX. I can't seem to find any significant reviews of the company online. That alone is somewhat strange considering NCIX.com has been registered since 1997.

Just for the record I have to change my comments about Directron.com.
In my second order it turns out that the Yamaha cd/rw they are selling is grey market and so you cannot get the rebate that Yamaha is offering, plus they billed for but did not ship a floppy drive. I am still getting the run around on that one.

So I guess my second order from these folks was also my last.

I live near NCIX's retail store in Vancouver and I have to say that I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy anything online from them, let alone go to their store and buy parts. Many times I have looked at their site and it said that the product was in stock but when I got to the store they didn't have the product. Even phoning them is a hassle, usually get a voice mail that they never return and don't get me started about their salesmen. I once ordered a set of speakers from them and had it on hold but when I got to the store one of their salemen wanted it for himself and refused to sell it to me. Also if you're only buying something small from them say a heatsink and he gets a phone call he'll blow you off and go talk to that customer. Its not uncommon to see them dealing with 3-4 different customers at the same time. So DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. IF GOING TO THEIR RETAIL STORE IS ANY INDICATION OF HOW THEY DO BUSINESS I DON"T WANT TO IMAGINE HOW THEY HANDLE THEIR ONLINE STORE CUSTOMERS.

Yeah, I got an Lian Li case and Enermax psu and they're authentic.
It took long time to get here(8-9 days to CT), but came all right, and working fine.
The price was the lowest I could find.
No complaint from me.
