You only think it's crappy because your favorite team is not there. I will be rooting for the Panthers, and I think we have a good chance of winning it. With the kind of beating we put on the Eagles today, McNabb and the receivers mostly, I don't think the Patriots will be able to do any better.

Uh no, really has nothing to do with my favorite team. It's two teams that just are not that exciting to watch.
There were a few games that would have been awesome to watch
Colts vs Packs (two great QB's and RB's)
Titans vs St. Louis (rematch of 1999 Superbowl)
or Chiefs vs St Louis (two great O's and coachs vs each other)
Any of those 3 games would have been far superior to this game.
I'll only "root" for NE because they are AFC.

Watching the Pats play is like watching a chess match. They take the opposition's single greatest strength, and eliminate it. Then, they wait for the opponent to make a mistake with their only partially effective offense. After they inevitably make one, the Pats just simply hold that lead and work it until time runs out. It's really fascinating to watch.
Ironically, the Pats offense is actually the best suited one for facing the Pats defense. They have several receivers who are all on about equal footing. As a result, if one is taken out, it's not a huge loss.

For all those saying that this superbowl sucks, here's a perspective on it that I just posted on another thread.Just something to think about when watching that might make it more interesting for you. Although I may also just find it interesting because I'm a Pats fan.Watching the Pats play is like watching a chess match. They take the opposition's single greatest strength, and eliminate it. that is interesting, otho, I think you may have overanalyzed it a little bit

Possibly, but I seem to see the same thing every game. In fact, the last one where that didn't really happen was the first game against Indy. There, they tried to stay as aggressive as possible on offense to prevent a Manning comeback, but it almost backfired.Originally posted by: FreshPrince that is interesting, otho, I think you may have overanalyzed it a little bit
Agreed. Being a Left-coast'er, what's the excitement in watching a game between 2 teams from clear on the other side of the country?Originally posted by: LikeLinus
