To be honest most any super bowl combo out of the teams that made it to the playoffs would have sucked.

Watching McNabb play this year has been a suckfest in itself.

I don't understand why teams are getting so lopsided these days though. They either have an awesome Defense with a crap ass offense or awesome Offense with a crap ass defense.

Are you kidding? Two high powered offenses with zero D who just marched up the field on the other team sounds exactly like the Indy / KC game last week, which had to be the biggest suckfest ever. . It turned into a game of possessions. Was the WORST playoff game I've seen in a long time. No punts in the whole game? Thats an embarrassment.

Defensive games can be boring if absolutely nothing happens, but neither the Pats or the Panthers offense is THAT bad. They will score enough to make it a good game, and the great D will make it a nail biter. Of course I will be cheering for the Pats though

I watch for the love of the game, but I don't particularly care for the Panthers type of play. Their O is crap. It might get the job done, but that doesn't mean its pretty to watch. Only a fan of the team would think that.

NE is a much better team going into the game. I give them the edge by far with Mr. B at QB. Their D is solid enough to shut down any Panther scoring. I don't however think the Pathers D can stop the Pats O.

Uh no, really has nothing to do with my favorite team. It's two teams that just are not that exciting to watch.

There were a few games that would have been awesome to watch

Colts vs Packs (two great QB's and RB's)
Titans vs St. Louis (rematch of 1999 Superbowl)
or Chiefs vs St Louis (two great O's and coachs vs each other)

Any of those 3 games would have been far superior to this game.

I'll only "root" for NE because they are AFC.

What would be so awesome about watching teams who either have a sh!tty Defense or a bungling coach? What I thought was awesome was the way the Pats shut down the Colts high Powered O. Only a great D could do that

I just think watching the Panthers play is boring and they aren't a complete team like NE is, or some of the other teams in the playoffs. Everyone that thinks T. Brady will tear up Panthers D is just plain wrong. They have an awesome pass rush and I believe this will make the game almost unbearable to watch. You will see lots of punts in this game...trust me.

Thr difference between the Pats and the teams the Panthers had to beat in the Playoffs to advance to the SB is that the Pats use the short pass like a running game. The Defensive Line of the Panthers won't have enough time to get to Brady because he takes such short drops and unloads the ball so quickly. The main problem with the Pat Offense was their play in the Red Zone. Against the Panthers it shouldn't be so much a worry because the Panthers aren't that explosive of an offense themselves and the Pat's D is the best!
